The scenic drive through the pine forest takes you to a coastal hotel hidden away in a beautiful Mediterranean nature reserve and situated 180 metres above sea level with panoramic views over the Mediterranean Sea and stunning cliffs of Na Xemena. Only 20 minutes drive from the bustling nightlife of Ibiza Town, Hotel Hacienda is the perfect place to chill-out in five-star luxury. The 70 rooms and suites, most of them equipped with a stunning sea view Jacuzzi, feel luxurious and blissfully quiet. There are two indulgent spas on site: ‘La Posidonia’ for traditional beauty and wellness and ‘Las Cascadas Suspendidas’ an open-air Thalassotherapy treatment consisting of eight hydrotherapy pools. Using the natural power of saltwater, heated to 37 degrees, beneficial properties are transmitted to the body via a series of therapeutic jets and cascades. The pools and waterfalls for this 40-minute reviving treatment are located in a private area with stunning sea views. If complete relaxation isn’t your thing there’s plenty to keep you entertained. Fitness classes, a gym, tennis courts, and mountain bikes are available to guests during their stay. Personalised activities such as open-air cooking classes, wine tasting, excursions, and water sports can also be arranged. After watching the famous sunset of Ibiza from the terrace, guests can savour the sensational cuisine at Eden, one of four, five-star restaurants at Hotel Hacienda. Serving a wide menu of healthy Mediterranean dishes: pan fried meats, grilled fish, rices plus special dietary plates created to compliment your spa treatments, you wont be disappointed. The five-course gourmet meal is a sensation for the taste buds and is best washed down with a glass of crisp cava - the perfect end to a blissful day. Ambience: Hotel Hacienda feels discreetly luxurious, sophisticated, and grown-up. The staff are warm, friendly and extremely helpful. From the moment you step through the door you know you have arrived at a truly unique place. Treatments Tested: Relaxing Body Massage, 95 Euros for 50 minutes. This relaxing massage was the perfect way to forget the stresses and strains of city life. After 20 minutes, I had completely relaxed as the talented therapist massaged an exotic blend of essential oils, paying special attention to my shoulders and back. I immediately felt the tension ease away from my upper back, whilst she lightly massaged my legs, feet, arms and hands. This treatment was pure bliss and is the ultimate way to refresh and revitalise tired and aching limbs. Bath of music therapy, 55 Euros for 20 minutes. This is a truly unique experience, unlike anything I’ve experienced before. I was immersed in a bath of warm water, whilst beautiful music played through tiny under-water speakers. This spiritual relaxation works by relaxing the body and mind through the vibrations of music. The therapist left the room after 5 minutes, enabling me to completely switch-off in the peaceful surroundings. I’d highly recommend this treatment to de-stress and re-balance busy minds.
